Club de Automovilismo Action Pres, MYTIME, Escuderia La Coruña and New Wave-Atlantic Automobile Association, join forces to hold the third edition of the Iberian Eco Rallye Challenge, a competition that since its creation has aimed to encourage participation in the four events that count towards the Bridgestone FIA ​​​​ecoRally Cup that will be held throughout the season in the Iberian Peninsula.

Following the order of events established in the 2025 calendar of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the MAHLE Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana, which will start on February 28, will be the first event to count towards the Iberian trophy.

The Castellón event will be followed by the Oeiras Eco Rally Portugal in March, the Eco Rallye A Coruña in September and will conclude with the Eco Rally da Madeira in October, where the winning team will be determined. The Madeira event will replace the Azores Eco Rallye, with which it will alternate annually.

The Iberian Eco Rallye Challenge will reward the three best teams participating in the aforementioned events. To do this, the points obtained in the FIA ​​classification of each of them will be added, with the exception that all competitions will have the same coefficient. To be eligible for this trophy, participants must take part in at least one event in Spain and one in Portugal.

“We are very proud that Castellón will be the inaugural event for the third year running,” said Fernando Lobón, president of the MAHLE Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana organising committee. "The combination of these four events creates a small championship that is very attractive both for Spanish and Portuguese participants, as well as for other countries."

“The mission of the Iberian Eco Rally Challenge is to promote and facilitate exchange between the Portuguese and Spanish new energy championships,” explained the president of the organizing committee of the Oeiras Eco Rally Portugal, Paulo Almeida. “It is with this spirit that we decided to innovate our event and start on the border between the two countries and then travel across the entire Portuguese territory to Oeiras."

In turn, the president of Escuderia La Coruña, Alberto González Naveira, was excited about "being part of this Iberian competition for the second year, which so actively encourages the participation of the most outstanding teams from both Spain and Portugal". Along the same lines, the president of the New Wave-Atlantic Automobile Association, Gonçalo Pereira, wanted to highlight that “for an ultraperipheral region like Madeira, integration into the Iberian Eco Rally Challenge is a real vitamin for our event where it will also have the honor to organize the prize giving ceremony."
